Allurion Technologies, a US company focused on obesity reduction, has expanded its partnership with Weight Doctors, a private clinics group specialising in weight loss in Germany.
The collaboration will see the expanded use of Allurion’s Virtual Care Suite (VCS) digital platform in 2024.
This expansion follows the successful use of the VCS by Weight Doctors in managing over 2,000 patients in 2023.
The extended agreement seeks to broaden VCS usage among new patients and locations this year, including the Netherlands and the UK.
The patients encompass those treated with the Allurion Balloon as well as those undergoing bariatric surgery and using GLP-1 anti-obesity medications.
Allurion founder and CEO Shantanu Gaur said: “We believe digital solutions will benefit significantly from the rapidly expanding market opportunity in weight loss, and we aim to leverage our decade of expertise to be at the forefront with customers.
