Ant Group has announced significant upgrades to its AI healthcare solutions, aiming to boost hospital and doctor capabilities while benefiting users with AI technology.

The introduction of these solutions marks a step forward in the adoption of AI in hospital operations and patient care, with a focus on efficiency and security.

The company’s healthcare large model is built on foundation models such as DeepSeek R1/V3, Alibaba’s Qwen, and the group’s BaiLing.

Featuring medical reasoning and multimodal interaction capabilities, this model is now integrated into All-in-One Large Model Machines for Healthcare, enabling on-premises deployment of AI in hospitals.

Seven Chinese healthcare institutions and hospitals in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Beijing, and Ningbo have already adopted this technology.

The all-in-one machines leverage Ant Group’s privacy-preserving computation solution, which protects data privacy while ensuring traceability for secure collaboration between hospitals and stakeholders.

In addition to backend support, aids hospitals in creating user-facing applications.

AI agent Angel has assisted more than 1,000 medical facilities, managing user interactions of more than 30 million.

The group has also contributed to the development of Yibaoer, an AI agent for medical insurance inquiries, supporting local basic medical insurance services across China.

In January 2025, following the acquisition of Haodf, Ant Group introduced the AI Doctor Assistant to aid doctors with patient education and management of medical records.

The assistant, now enhanced with DeepSeek integration, supports scientific research by summarising relevant articles for doctors.

Ant Group introduced the AI Healthcare Manager within the Alipay app in September 2024, connecting users to over 30 services through voice and text.

The newest upgrade provides detailed and tailored health advice. Latest features include self-detection of health status and analysis of medical reports, providing a comprehensive approach to users for managing their well-being.
