Independent healthcare group ApolloMD has expanded its partnership with Adonis for introducing agentic AI to 1,800 healthcare clinicians in the US.
ApolloMD now utilises the AI Orchestration features of Adonis for deploying the agents designed to automate intricate revenue cycle management (RCM) workflows.
The collaboration, which began in February 2023, is now set to modernise RCM operations, offering ApolloMD the ability to intelligently deploy these agents for autonomous issue resolution, leading to better collection rates and cost savings.
This allows for the monitoring and diagnosis of RCM issues, automating tasks that traditionally required manual intervention.
Adonis co-founder and chief product officer Aman Magoon said: “ApolloMD has been realising both time and cost savings through Adonis Intelligence’s AI-powered alerting, monitoring, and denial mitigation technology.
“While payer policies, regulations, and staffing dynamics are subject to constant and unpredictable change, we’re excited to introduce AI Orchestration to measure, interpret, and dispatch AI Agents dynamically based on daily needs.”
ApolloMD collaborates with more than 100 hospitals across the nation, offering integrated, advanced practice clinician (APC), multi-speciality physician and practice management services in key areas such as emergency, hospital medicine, and RCM.
ApolloMD RCM executive vice-president Tennille Lizarraga said: “Adonis has been a game-changer for our revenue cycle strategy, and expanding into AI-driven orchestration is a natural evolution.
“By deploying Adonis AI Agents, we’re not just solving today’s administrative challenges; we’re setting up a scalable, forward-thinking approach to RCM that enhances both team efficiency and financial performance.”
This enhanced partnership underscores Adonis’ focus on transforming RCM operations from reactive issue management to proactive revenue attainment.
By leveraging adaptive workflows, AI-driven automation and Smart Worklists, Adonis is assisting healthcare organisations in minimising costs and improving operations and outcomes.
The introduction of AI Agents is anticipated to impact healthcare billing economics.
In a previous initiative to optimise its revenue cycle and reduce costs, ApolloMD implemented Fathom’s AI-based medical coding technology, in September 2023.
