AvaSure, a company specialising in acute virtual care, has announced the acquisition of smart room solutions by Ouva, an AI-powered platform for delivering virtual care.
The move aims to boost innovation by integrating AI-driven virtual care technologies into hospitals.
Financial specifics and other terms of the transaction remain undisclosed.
The deal is expected to help AvaSure improve the ambient AI functions of its Intelligent Virtual Care Platform while doubling the number of members in its existing internal AI engineering team.
With the improved platform, the company aims to reinforce its efforts to swiftly advance and excel in virtual care technology.
Following the acquisition, hospitals partnering with AvaSure will gain access to an expanded suite of ambient AI-powered features that optimise patient flow, enhance patient safety, support staff rounding, as well as improve mobility monitoring, all while providing operational insights.

The latest acquisition builds on AvaSure and Ouva’s previously formed partnership last year.
