
BayCare Health System has opened the first BayCare Urgent Care in Lakeland, Florida, US to deliver convenient and easy healthcare access to patients in the region.
Located at the Southgate Shopping Center, the new facility will enable its clinicians to cater to adults and children aged two years and above.
BayCare Urgent Care is intended to provide total care, including X-rays, laboratories and EKGs, noted BayCare Health System.
The facility will treat various medical conditions such as minor illnesses and injuries, flu and colds, sprains and strains, minor cuts, stings and burns without prior appointment.
In addition, the centre provides school and sports physicals and occupational health services, including post-hire physicals, drug screenings, workplace injury treatment and vaccinations.
Visitors can also reserve their spot at the new clinic online. This capability is expected to improve patient experience.
BayCare Ambulatory Services senior vice-president Jim Cote said: “We’re thrilled to bring the first BayCare Urgent Care to Lakeland. Our goal is to give patients convenient access for the right level of medical care in the right place and at the right time. And we hope this service does just that.”
A non-profit, BayCare Health System provide a variety of services at 15 hospitals and numerous additional locations across the Tampa Bay and central Florida regions.
It delivers inpatient, as well as outpatient services such as acute care, primary care, imaging, laboratory, behavioral health, home care and wellness.
