ChristianaCare, in partnership with GoHealth Urgent Care, is set to expand its presence in the US state of Delaware with the inauguration of four new urgent care centres (UCCs).

These new facilities will be located in Newark, Dover, New Castle, and Wilmington.

The new centres, named ChristianaCare-GoHealth Dover Dupont Highway, ChristianaCare-GoHealth Kirkwood Highway, ChristianaCare-GoHealth Newark, and ChristianaCare-GoHealth New Castle, are scheduled to open their doors on 14 July.

This expansion increases the count of ChristianaCare-GoHealth Urgent Care sites to 16, including two in Maryland and the remaining 14 in Delaware.

All ChristianaCare-GoHealth Urgent Care centres are equipped to handle non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.

They offer a wide range of diagnostic testing and on-site X-ray services.

Operating every day of the year, including holidays, the centres maintain regular hours from 8am to 8pm, from Monday to Sunday.

Once open, the four new ChristianaCare-GoHealth centres promise high-quality care in “a more affordable” setting compared to hospital emergency departments.

Besides, there are ongoing plans to consolidate the existing Fairfax site in north Wilmington with a new location on Concord Pike.

ChristianaCare said that details regarding this consolidation will be shared once the plans are finalised.

ChristianaCare system chief medical officer and Medical Group interim president Kert Anzilotti said: “We are excited to expand access to urgent care in the communities we serve, which enable us to provide more of our neighbours with high-quality, on-demand affordable care near where they live, work and play.

“With their unique model of care, convenience and customer focus, our ChristianaCare-GoHealth urgent care centres are all about making it easy for people to address their non-emergency health needs.”
