Christus Health, a US-based not-for-profit Catholic health system, has confirmed its plans to open a hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

The new facility aims to provide residents of south-east Texas with expanded access to a broad spectrum of healthcare services.

It is being established at the former Medical Center of Southeast Texas – Victory Campus, situated on Dowlen Road in West Beaumont.

Christus Health stated that the site is currently undergoing renovations and is expected to open in the coming months.

Spanning approximately six acres, the hospital campus will include an emergency room, a separate surgical space, along with other medical office spaces.

The health system said that the new hospital will also offer various services such as comprehensive orthopaedic services, robotic surgery, and emergency medical care.
