
Concentra, a company in occupational medicine in the US, has opened a new medical centre in Katy, Texas.
The facility, named Concentra Katy, is situated at 25805 Katy Freeway, Suite 600, and is set to offer a range of employer-related health services.
Concentra Medical Operations senior vice-president Robert Hassett said: “Expansion to Katy has been requested by our customers for a long time.
“We’re excited to finally bring Concentra to Katy and serve our customers in the area.”
The centre will offer services including physical therapy, work injury care, drug testing, department of transportation (DOT) physical exams, pre-placement exams, and other health services.
In addition, it will provide telemedicine for minor work injuries through the company’s proprietary telemedicine platform, Concentra Telemed.
Concentra provides occupational health and urgent care services.
With a network of over 620 locations across the nation, the company is reinforcing its presence in Texas, aiming to address the occupational health service demands of the region.
The company delivers medical care that caters to the schedules and locations of employers and their workforces.
As of 20 March 2024, it provided care to an average of 50,000 patients daily across 45 states through its network of more than 620 occupational health centres and 160 onsite health clinics that are located at employer facilities.
Prior to this, Concentra announced the launch of a medical centre in Waukegan, Illinois.
Similar to the Katy centre, Concentra Waukegan will provide a suite of health services aimed at supporting employers and employees.
In July 2024, Concentra Group Holdings Parent announced the filing of a prospectus, setting the price range for its initial public offering (IPO) in the US.
