Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children, a hospital in Abu Dhabi and a part of the M42 group, has appointed Dr Summia Zaher as its new chief executive officer (CEO).

Dr Summia has more than two decades of healthcare experience, including a background in non-invasive treatments and minimal-intervention labour practices.

Originally from the UK, she is set to lead the hospital’s mission of providing care for women and children in the GCC.

Trade Arabia reported that Dr Summia’s tenure with the National Health Service (NHS) and a leadership fellowship in obstetrics have equipped her with insights into women’s healthcare.

M42 group chief executive officer and managing director Hasan Jasem Al Nowais said: “Dr Summia’s leadership and expertise are valuable to Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women and Children’s mission to provide world-class care in the region.

“We are confident that under her leadership, the hospital will continue to set new standards in women’s healthcare and further cement its position as a leader.”
