The Ensign Group, the parent company of the Ensign group of companies, has expanded its presence in the US with the acquisition of seven skilled nursing facilities in Colorado and one in Kansas.  

The Colorado facilities include Desert Willow Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pueblo, offering 106 beds; Junction Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Durango, with 133 beds; and Pelican Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Windsor, providing 104 beds. 

It further includes Riverbend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Loveland, featuring 100 beds; Broadview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greeley, also with 100 beds; Westlake Lodge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Greeley, with 107 beds; and Linden Place Health and Rehabilitation Center in Longmont, which has 110 beds. 

The acquisitions are subject to long-term, triple net leases, indicating a stable investment strategy for the Ensign Group. 

In a separate transaction on the same day, Ensign announced the acquisition of Prairie Ridge Health and Rehabilitation facility in Overland Park, Kansas.  

Prairie Ridge is a 102-bed skilled nursing facility.

Both the Colorado and Kansas deals were effective on 1 September 2024, with all the acquired facilities subject to long-term, triple net leases. 

With these latest acquisitions, Ensign’s portfolio has now grown to 323 healthcare operations. 

Of these total operations, 29 include senior living operations, spread across 14 states in the US.  

Ensign subsidiaries, such as Standard Bearer, now own 122 real estate assets.
