deepc, a provider of AI platforms for radiology and enterprise clinical organisations, has partnered with the AI Centre for Value-Based Healthcare (AI4VBH), King’s College London, and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust to enhance radiology AI adoption and deployment in the National Health Service (NHS).
This collaboration aims to overcome the challenges of deploying radiology AI in clinical settings and improve patient outcomes across various care pathways.
deepc’s deepcOS platform will be deployed to give radiology departments access to a suite of regulatory-approved AI solutions.
The company’s involvement will provide technology, resources, and expertise to aid the development and deployment of innovations.
The platform’s deployment is expected to expedite the adoption and scaling of radiology AI technologies across six NHS Trusts, with plans to expand to ten.
AI4VBH director Sebastien Ourselin FREng FMedSci said: “Our partnership with deepc will begin by helping six NHS Trusts access more than 75 clinically proven AI tools, but that is only the beginning. deepc will play a vital role in supporting the AI Centre for Value-Based Healthcare’s future growth.”

By GlobalDataThe first six NHS Trusts to implement deepcOS include Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, and University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
The initiative addresses the NHS’s shortage of clinical radiologists and aims to streamline the integration of radiology AI, solving data privacy, security, and operational challenges.
This move will potentially reduce patient waiting times by making it easier and more cost-effective for NHS Trusts to access and incorporate radiology AI tools.
The AI4VBH was established in 2019 to use AI to enhance patient care.
deepc CEO and co-founder Dr Franz Pfister said: “We’re incredibly proud to announce this long-term strategic collaboration with the AI Centre for Value-Based Healthcare to help accelerate and scale the adoption of radiology AI tools within the NHS. Together, we hope to lay the foundations for the NHS to become a true nucleus of excellence for radiology AI globally.”
