US-based hospital network Encompass Health has expanded its national network with the inauguration of the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Mill in South Carolina.
The 39-bed facility is said to be the health system’s 165th hospital in the US and ninth in South Carolina.

The new hospital is designed to deliver rehabilitative services for patients who are recovering from serious health challenges such as spinal cord injuries, strokes, amputations and complex orthopaedic conditions to regain function.
It is equipped to provide intensive therapy for patients, requiring a minimum of three hours over five days a week.
The hospital also will provide frequent physician visits and round-the-clock nursing care.
Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Mill has a range of amenities to support patient recovery, including private rooms, a therapy gym equipped with advanced amenities and an activities of daily living suite.

The interdisciplinary team at the hospital, comprising specialised nurses, therapists, and physicians, will offer comprehensive physical, occupational, and speech therapies for patients.
Encompass Health’s presence spans 165 hospitals across 38 states and Puerto Rico.
