Encompass Health has opened its new Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Houston at The Medical Center.
The 61-bed facility in Texas, US, spans nearly 70,000ft² and is strategically situated in the heart of The Medical Center for seamless patient transfers and visitor access.

The hospital offers private patient rooms, advanced rehabilitation technologies, and amenities, including an in-house dialysis suite and pharmacy.
An interdisciplinary team provides intensive therapy for patients recovering from serious injuries and conditions such as strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopaedic conditions.
The facility ensures a minimum of three hours of therapy over five days a week, coupled with constant physician oversight and round-the-clock nursing.

The hospital’s construction employed prefabricated modules in partnership with BLOX, an Alabama-based modular healthcare building manufacturer.
This approach facilitated improved quality control, reduced waste, and accelerated the opening timeline, allowing the hospital to begin serving patients in Houston more promptly.

In September, Encompass Health announced the opening of the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Mill in South Carolina.
