
Hospital chain Global Health is set to double its bed capacity to 4,000 as part of its expansion plans, reported cnbctv18.com.
Group CEO Pankaj Sahni shared this news, along with the company’s optimistic outlook for its international business.
Global Health initially aims to have a network of 2,700 beds and then scale up to 4,000 beds in the coming years.
In addition, Sahni expects the international business to achieve double-digit growth, despite being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Prior to the pandemic, Global Health’s international business made up the group’s nearly 11% of operations and it is now recovering and surpassing pre-Covid levels.
Sahni stated that: “The network at about 2,700 beds today scaling up to almost 4,000 beds over the next couple of years across the six hospitals that we have, we feel fairly confident that our growth trajectory in a secured, stable manner is well on track.”

By GlobalDataHe further added: “Our international business pre-Covid was at about 11%, over the course of Covid-19 we see that reduce a little bit. We find that those numbers on a revenue basis in our last quarter, surpassing on an absolute basis what we had in our pre-Covid time.”
To support these expansion plans, Global Health is prepared to invest Rs2bn ($24.19m) in capital expenditure for its Noida facility.
