US-based healthcare network Hartford HealthCare has partnered with clinical AI company K Health to launch HHC 24/7, a virtual health platform designed to enhance access to primary care in Connecticut.

HHC 24/7 aims to ‘redefine’ patient-centred care by offering round-the-clock access to healthcare professionals and integrating medical services seamlessly into patients’ lives.

The platform makes use of advanced clinical AI and will be fully integrated with Hartford HealthCare’s extensive network, which includes 500 locations across 185 towns and cities.

Patients using the virtual platform will have access to on-demand and same-day clinical appointments for a wide range of medical needs, from acute and chronic conditions to preventative care.

Hartford HealthCare president and CEO Jeffrey Flaks said: “Our focus has always been on putting patients first — we are patient-driven and deeply committed to meeting their needs.

“We need to meet people where they are and with the level of concierge support they want, all while fully integrating the highest quality of care. The provider has every resource of Hartford Healthcare at their disposal.”

K Health’s AI Provider Mode will serve as a co-pilot for clinicians on the HHC 24/7 platform to ‘transform’ the primary care visit.

The AI Agent architecture guides patients through a MedicalChat investigation, taking into account their medical history from the electronic medical record (EMR).

Clinicians receive a synthesis of this investigation, along with patient insights, at the point of care, aiding in personalised diagnosis and treatment.

K Health co-founder and chief product officer Ran Shaul said: “K Health is the first company to build clinical-grade AI into a system of care delivery, changing the paradigm on access, quality and costs of healthcare.

“Partnering with Hartford HealthCare allows us to offer millions of people in Connecticut access to personalised medicine that is integrated into a world-class health system.”
