Healthpoint, a part of the health company M42 group, has launched the Vein Clinic and Diabetic Foot and Limb Preservation Programme, to provide specialised care for patients with diabetes-related foot complications, according to a press release posted on Zawya.
This initiative comes in response to the high prevalence of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, as reported by the International Diabetes Foundation (IDF).
The programme adopts a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to manage the serious risks posed by diabetes, including severe foot issues, ulcers, and potential amputations.
Healthpoint’s strategy includes continuous monitoring, preventive care, and specialised footwear to reduce these risks.
The network of specialists at Healthpoint in vascular surgery, podiatry, orthotics, orthopaedics, and wound care collaborate to offer integrated, one-stop care for patients.
In addition to the preservation programme, Vein Clinic provides a variety of surgical and non-surgical treatments for venous and lymphatic conditions.
