India-based Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Wipro GE Healthcare worth up to Rs7bn ($83.2m) to procure medical technologies and services.
The MOU designates Wipro GE Healthcare as an end-to-end medical technology partner for KIMS.
Over the next three years, Wipro GE Healthcare will supply new products, replacements, and services to both existing and new KIMS branches.
KIMS chairman and managing director Dr Bhaskar Rao said: “At KIMS, we have been advancing patient care by providing multi-disciplinary integrated healthcare services with a focus on tertiary and quaternary healthcare at affordable cost for over two decades.
“As we expand across Southern and Western India, Wipro GE Healthcare with its unparalleled local footprint, and robust service network, offers predictability, scalability, and life cycle management. With this partnership, we aim to elevate the quality of care in India.”
The agreement encompasses a full suite of medical technology products, including PET CTs, SPEC CTs, cath labs, MRIs, CT scanners, ultrasounds, and critical care equipment.

Last month, KIMS expanded into Kerala with the signing of a 25-year lease and an operations and management agreement with Sree Chand Specialty Hospital.
Earlier this year, KIMS acquired a 200-bed Queen’s NRI Hospital in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, and also signed an agreement to establish and manage a new super-speciality hospital in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
