LG Electronics (LG) has unveiled its first joint virtual care solution with Amwell for addressing hospital workforce shortages.
Dubbed the Carepoint TV Kit 200L, the new solution has been designed for expanding the boundaries of digital health innovation.
It is powered by the Amwell Converge platform and uses existing LG healthcare TVs in patient rooms to allow providers to engage, monitor and discharge patients, remotely.
This approach also helps reduce the workload of healthcare professionals.
The Carepoint TV Kit 200L will help expand the reach of clinicians and care teams through virtual rounding, nursing, e-sitting and isolation room monitoring.
With this, tasks such as patient admission and discharge, care coordination with patients, family members and other providers, medical reconciliation, and patient monitoring all can be carried out from a single location.
