LifePoint Health and Kindred Healthcare are set to establish a new healthcare company, under the name ScionHealth, to be headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, the US.
The new company will be launched after concluding the previously announced acquisition of Kindred, which is expected to be completed later this year.

ScionHealth will operate a total of 79 hospital campuses located across 25 states in the country.
They include Kindred’s 61 long-term acute care hospitals and 18 community hospitals and health systems belonging to LifePoint.

Additionally, LifePoint intends to combine more than 65 hospital campuses and its network of physician practices and outpatient centres with Kindred’s rehabilitation and behavioural health businesses.
