Lowcountry Oncology Associates has entered a new partnership with OneOncology to improve cancer care services in Charleston, South Carolina, US, and its surrounding areas.

Starting in October, a total of six medical oncologists from Lowcountry Oncology Associates will begin treating patients at four new clinics located in North Charleston, Mt Pleasant, West Ashley, and Summerville.

Expanding its offerings beyond medical oncology and haematology care, the practice will introduce additional services across the cancer care spectrum, such as in-office medication dispensing, medical imaging, and laboratory services.

Since 2001, Lowcountry Oncology Associates has been dedicated to serving cancer patients in Charleston.

It is claimed to be the third oncology practice in South Carolina and the 24th nationwide to join the OneOncology platform.

Recently, OneOncology was joined by Anderson Area Cancer Care in Upstate South Carolina while Coastal Cancer Care in Myrtle Beach joined the platform last year.

“We look forward to helping Lowcountry grow and enhance cancer care in Charleston, which will also bring additional value to payers and employers throughout South Carolina.”

Moving forward, the practice intends to expand by adding physicians, more cancer care clinics, as well as additional services along the cancer care space, while maintaining its partnerships with community health systems and physicians throughout the Lowcountry region.

Lowcountry partner Matt Beldner said: “We’re excited to partner with OneOncology and tap into their operational, clinical and technology expertise to grow our practice and enhance the cancer care services that we deliver in Charleston.
