Technology-enabled health company M42 has reached an investment partnership with the UAE Ministry of Defence to manage and operate the Zayed Military Hospital in Al Batayeh, Sharjah.
The alliance aims to enhance healthcare services for over three million residents in the UAE’s northern territories, including military personnel and their families.
It was formalised through an agreement signed by M42 managing director and group chief executive officer of M42 and chairman of Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, and UAE Ministry of Defence executive director of the Military Heath Executive Directorate Major General Dr Aysha Sultan Aldhaheri
The collaboration is expected to have a transformative impact on the UAE’s healthcare system, seamlessly integrating the healthcare ecosystem and delivering advanced services, M42 stated.
This includes the establishment of satellite clinics associated with institutions such as the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and Healthpoint.
M42’s latest partnership marks an expansion of its global hospital network, which covers 26 countries and now includes Zayed Military Hospital – Al Batayeh.

Full-scale operations at Zayed Military Hospital – Al Batayeh are scheduled to begin in early 2025.

M42 recently inaugurated a diabetes care facility in Al Dhafra and collaborated with Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company to launch Amana Healthcare in Bahrain.
