India-based Marengo Asia Hospitals has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Metropolitan Hospitals in Kenya, and Zoscales Partners, to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the Metropolitan Hospital in Nairobi.
This collaboration, under Marengo’s Clinical Corridor initiative, is set to improve healthcare accessibility and affordability in tertiary care across East Africa.
Metropolitan Hospitals founder and CEO Dr K K Gakombe said: “By upgrading our clinical services and expanding access to advanced healthcare, we are not only improving the quality of care but also making it more affordable and accessible to a broader population.
“This partnership with Marengo Asia Hospitals and Zoscales Partners enables us to significantly expand our reach and amplify our positive impact.”
The partnership will focus on establishing CoEs for selected specialities, addressing the urgent need for advanced healthcare services for the underserved communities in the region.
Zoscales Partners co-founder and managing partner Jacop Rentschler said: “This partnership underscores our commitment to making a meaningful difference where it matters most: improving access to quality healthcare.
