US-based conglomerate company Honeywell has been chosen to provide building automation systems for the Melton Hospital, which is being developed in Victoria, Australia.

The company will implement its Forge Enterprise Performance Management software at the facility to optimise its operational and energy efficiency.

The 274-bed Melton Hospital will be Victoria’s first fully electric hospital and aligns with the state’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Honeywell Forge’s integration will enable condition-based maintenance with the aim of making the hospital’s essential systems more resilient while reducing unplanned energy expenses.

The software uses machine learning to continuously analyse energy consumption patterns, enabling the hospital to automatically adjust settings for energy conservation without compromising air quality.

Honeywell Pacific building automation vice-president and general manager Lisa Whitehead said: “Honeywell’s technologically advanced building automation solutions combined with our decades of experience in total asset management make us uniquely positioned to support the building services for the Melton Hospital both today and over the next 25 years.
