Virtual care clinic Midi Health has entered an alliance with Cleo, an end-to-end caregiving platform supporting employees, to expand its presence in the employer care space.

Based in California, US, Midi Health specialises in providing care support for women navigating midlife hormonal transition.

The company currently offers services to employers across all 50 US states, with care plans tailored to individuals based on protocols from experts in perimenopause and menopause care.

Under the latest partnership, Midi will integrate its expert medical care services with Cleo’s caregiver support services, allowing employers to offer customised guidance to members and streamline their access to necessary care.

Midi claims to be the first and only perimenopause and menopause care provider to collaborate with Cleo, which has a global reach of nearly 3.5 million people.

The company noted that women going through perimenopause or menopause often consult up to five different doctors for various symptoms, while they may also undergo numerous tests and be prescribed medications, such as antidepressants and sleep aids.

However, the company said that sleep aids may not address the root cause of their menopause-related symptoms and in such cases, Cleo’s Guides can help in assisting members by evaluating their self-care needs.

Cleo’s Guides will also offer coaching support and help the members by referring them to Midi for expert perimenopause or menopause care when needed.

The platform’s global network of Guides, currently available in more than 70 countries and 15 languages, coupled with a personalised digital platform, delivers targeted interventions to enhance family health and wellbeing.

This approach also aims to reduce employee absenteeism, burnout, and healthcare costs.

Midi Health CEO and co-founder Joanna Strober said: “We are thrilled to partner with Cleo to ensure women get the care and support they need during this critical transition.

“Hormonal change impacts a significant portion of the workforce–including women as young as their 30s. Employers can ensure that women stay healthy and that productivity is not impacted by supporting this critical benefit.”

This January, Midi Health partnered with Ambience Healthcare to improve its speciality services with the latter’s generative AI platform.
