Moab Regional Hospital, a nonprofit, independent hospital in rural Utah, US, has implemented Avo’s AI-powered tools to enhance clinical efficiency.
Avo’s suite of products, including chart review, scribing, and AI consult capabilities will allow the Utah hospital to improve quality and reduce documentation burden.
Avo’s AI Scribe feature is designed to capture real-time patient-provider interactions, accurately transcribing multi-participant conversations by pulling key data from electronic health records (EHR).
The platform’s chart synopsis tool uses AI to summarise patient charts, offering insights into diagnoses and next steps while producing notes that can be used for reimbursement purposes.
Additionally, Ask Avo provides clinical support by responding to questions based on EHR data and evidence-based guidelines, assisting clinicians with note drafting, differential diagnoses, and order placements.
Moab Regional Hospital chief medical officer Dr William Gustin said: “We’re always looking for ways to enhance patient care while easing the burden on our providers.
“Avo’s technology has the potential to streamline workflows and reduce time spent on documentation, allowing our team to focus more on direct patient care. We’re optimistic that Avo’s AI tools will help improve efficiency and support our mission to provide high-quality, cost-effective healthcare to our community.”
By adopting these technologies, clinicians at Moab Regional Hospital can now focus more on direct patient care, alleviating cognitive overload.
Avo has recently been included in the MUSE International community, opening up new opportunities for innovation and collaboration. It also provides healthcare organisations with advanced tools to enhance the quality of life for both patients and providers.
