Mount Sinai Health System in the US has unveiled a new mobile application called MyMountSinai, for patients.
Developed by Mount Sinai’s Department of Information Technology, the comprehensive application serves as an online gateway to its physicians and services.
Patients can use the app to manage their medical information and further communicate with their doctors.
They will also be able to get information on health services that are provided by the Mount Sinai Health System.
Mount Sinai Health System executive vice-president and chief information officer Kristin Myers said: “The MyMountSinai app provides another access point to care and communication, which enhances the patient experience.
“This allows our patients to seamlessly access their health information, connect with their physicians, and schedule appointments and telehealth visits through their smartphones and other personal devices—empowering them to take greater ownership of their wellness in coordination with our leading doctors.”

By GlobalDataMyMountSinai builds on features that are offered in the MyChart portal and mobile application, using which patients can access health records and lab results, conduct video visits with providers.
The application also allowed patients to book and check in for appointments, pay bills, and request prescription refills.
Additionally, advanced capabilities offered by the MyMountSinai app include upload of Covid-19 vaccination proof, scheduling appointments with new doctors, and helping patients navigate through select hospitals.
Mount Sinai Health System deputy chief information officer and Information Technology senior vice-president Bruce Darrow said: “Increasingly, our patients are taking charge of their health and wellness outside of our hospitals and doctor’s offices, and they deserve to be able to get information about their own medical records whenever and wherever they want.
“The MyMountSinai app offers additional features to the more than one million patients already connected to Mount Sinai through our existing portal.”
Last September, HealthQuarters signed a multi-year, multi-location collaboration with Mount Sinai Health System to offer healthcare services at its locations.
