Boston Children’s Hospital has selected VitalHealth Software’s QuestLink for the implementation of the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) standard set for cleft lip and palate.
VitalHealth provides web-based solutions for collaborative health management established by Mayo Clinic and the Noaber Foundation.
ICHOM has certified QuestLink to support the efficient gathering of the patient reported outcomes (PROs) included in its standard sets.
VitalHealth chief medical officer Dr Les Wold said: "Boston Children’s Hospital is at the forefront of paediatric medicine and is consistently ranked the best paediatric facility in the nation.

By GlobalDataStarting in October, Boston Children’s Hospital will implement QuestLink, making it the first children’s hospital in the US to collect ICHOM standard sets electronically.
ICHOM Implementation vice-president Jessica Aisenbrey said: "Measuring the outcomes of children treated for cleft lip and palate will allow Boston Children’s Hospital to improve upon the care they offer and, in time, to compare their outcomes with those delivered by other organisations around the world.
"We are pleased that Boston Children’s will collect the cleft lip and palate standard set using QuestLink, one of our certified suppliers."
