Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Wyoming, US, has announced that it will expand its emergency care operations with air ambulabnce.
The AirLife Denver medical helicopter, operated by HCA-HealthONE, will provide critical care transport.
The helicopter is expected to offer air ambulance coverage for southern Wyoming, western Nebraska and northern Colorado communities starting in early 2012.
The partnership will also give Cheyenne access to two AirLife Lear Jet 31s, offering another means of providing patients with emergency care and transport.
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center CEO John Lucas said that rapid access, combined with quality critical care services, will considerably improve patient outcomes.
AirLife Denver programme director Jana Williams added, "The partnership will allow Cheyenne Regional and AirLife to reach more patients in more areas quickly, while providing the quality care."
