Canada-based health information technology firm Medworxx Solutions is set to deploy its patient flow solution Clinical Criteria in the Crouse Hospital, New York, US.
Located in Syracuse, the acute care provider includes more than 500 beds and serves central and northern New York.
Crouse Hospital care co-ordination services director Barbara Drapola said: "Medworxx will allow us to understand and act on patient flow barriers as they occur to enhance the timeliness of discharge and create viable solutions to eliminate identifiable causes of avoidable delays in hospital services."
Crouse selected the Clinical Criteria module to make necessary improvements in patient throughput to continue their delivery of better quality care and decided to invest in the module, after the delivery of Medworxx Patient Throughput Review.
Medworxx noted it will interface with the existing Siemens Soarian EHR to support clinical workflow. The company developed the Clinical Criteria module to provide advanced patient flow analytics in real-time.
These derived analytics can be shared across the organisation to help care co-ordinators, case managers and multi-disciplinary team to organise and prioritise patient flow across the facility.
