Royal Philips has entered a multi-year, $500m partnership with US-based Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), in a bid to improve patient care across New York’s Hudson Valley.
Based in Valhalla, New York, WMCHealth is a 1,500-bed health system that spans seven hospitals and several campuses and locations, as well as 300 healthcare partner organisations.
The health system’s Westchester Medical Centre provides medical and surgical services to people in eight counties.
WMCHealth president Michael Israel said: "Our alliance with Philips not only gives us access to the latest in connected digital health technologies, it will allow us to collaborate on pro-active health management and co-create new patient-centred models of care for the Hudson Valley area."
Under the deal, Philips will provide enterprise managed services, including a wide range of clinical and business consulting services, to WMCHealth.
Philips will also offer advanced medical technologies such as imaging systems, patient monitoring, telehealth and clinical informatics solutions to the health system.
