US-based hospital system Prime Healthcare Services has completed the acquisition of two hospitals from subsidiaries of Community Health Systems.
The acquired hospitals include Dallas Regional Medical Centre in Mesquite of Texas and Riverview Regional Medical Centre in Gadsden, Alabama, as well as related outpatient services.
Prime Healthcare Services president Dr Prem Reddy said: "Prime Healthcare looks forward to continuing extraordinary care at both Dallas Regional and Riverview Regional.
"We plan to support the hard work and dedication of the physicians, nurses and employees in their mission to provide quality healthcare to their communities."
Established in 1926, Dallas Regional Medical Centre is a 202-bed acute-care hospital, which has 550 employees.
The center provides a wide range of services and programmes, including a da Vinci Surgical System, Heart and Vascular Centre, MAKO Robotic Surgery System, and Wound Care and Hyperbaric Centre.

Riverview Regional Medical Centre is a 281-bed acute-care hospital, which was originally established in 1926 by the Sisters of the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity.
