Sentry Data Systems, a US-based technology solutions provider for healthcare organisations, has completed the acquisition of Agilum Healthcare Intelligence.
Agilum provides enterprise business intelligence (BI) solutions that help health systems improve operating performance through increased transparency and access to actionable financial information.
The acquisition is part of Sentry’s strategic plan to expand financial analytics via its platform, which currently provides decision support to more than 7,000 hospitals, clinics, integrated delivery networks (IDNs) and pharmacies.
Sentry founder Travis Leonardi said: "Since Sentry’s founding in 2003, healthcare organisations have realised more than $4bn in savings from Sentry’s solutions.
"In Agilum, we see a highly compatible organisation with great potential to strengthen and augment our proprietary platform.
"This acquisition is the next step in delivering on Sentry’s core vision to make available the data analytics and business intelligence critical for managing the entire healthcare enterprise."

The acquisition will add new capabilities to Sentry’s current offering, providing its customers with improved visibility into the financial performance of every aspect of their business, including service line costs, labour productivity and revenue realisation.
