US-based oncology support platform OneOncology has agreed to acquire United Urology Group (UUG), a management services organisation specialising in urology, for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is intended to offer extra growth capital to enhance urology care in ambulatory surgery centres and physician-owned practices, as well as improve care options for prostate, bladder and other genitourinary cancers.

It is expected to close by the end of this year subject to certain customary closing conditions being met and regulatory approvals being given.

UUG aims to ‘transform’ urology through its focus on accessible and value-based care, as well as ongoing innovation, patient and employee satisfaction, and community engagement.

The company has integrated its affiliate practices with advanced technology systems and processes to further expand its range of ancillary services.
