US-based oncology support platform OneOncology has agreed to acquire United Urology Group (UUG), a management services organisation specialising in urology, for an undisclosed sum.
The deal is intended to offer extra growth capital to enhance urology care in ambulatory surgery centres and physician-owned practices, as well as improve care options for prostate, bladder and other genitourinary cancers.
It is expected to close by the end of this year subject to certain customary closing conditions being met and regulatory approvals being given.
OneOncology CEO Jeff Patton said: “UUG’s attention and dedication to physician centricity and partnership with its leading independent practices are directly aligned with OneOncology’s culture and philosophy.
“We are thrilled to partner with the physician and executive leadership of United Urology Group to continue advancing urology care, including the increasingly complex treatment of genitourinary cancers.”
UUG operates a network of urology affiliate practices, including Arizona Urology Specialists, Chesapeake Urology, Colorado Urology, and Tennessee Urology,
