US-based oncology practice network OneOncology has finalised a partnership with Beacon Clinic to improve cancer care services in Idaho.
The collaboration aims to maintain the independence of Beacon Clinic, a physician-owned multi-speciality practice that has been active since 2018.
The integration into the OneOncology platform will give the practice access to operational, clinical and technological resources.
This is intended to offer real-time clinical insights, foster collaborative research, and address operational challenges faced by community practices.
OneOncology CEO Jeff Patton said: “The physicians at Beacon Clinic are among the most trusted cancer caregivers in Idaho, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the OneOncology platform.
“We look forward to working with our new partners to help their practice grow, add services along the continuum of care to their clinics, and continue bringing world-class cancer care to north Idaho.”
Beacon Clinic offers a range of cancer care services at its two clinics in Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls.
These include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation therapy, clinical studies, on-site phlebotomy services and in-house oral medication dispensing.
The practice is staffed by a team of 11 providers, comprising four medical oncologists, a rheumatologist, a radiation oncologist and five advanced practice providers.
Beacon Clinic founder Dr David Bartels said: “Providing the highest quality of patient care to our community has been an absolute dream come true for the entire Beacon Clinic team.
“By partnering with OneOncology, we plan to grow and expand the cancer care and multidisciplinary services we provide, so our patients can continue to receive cutting-edge, world-class care without having to travel long distances, be away from their support system, and receive care outside of their community.”
Last year, OneOncology partnered with Lowcountry Oncology Associates to improve cancer care in Charleston, South Carolina, and its surrounding areas.
