Qventus has rolled out the new AI Operational Assistants capability, aiming to alleviate the administrative workload on healthcare professionals and enhance patient care.
These digital assistants utilise AI to manage operational tasks, freeing up frontline staff to focus on clinical duties.
Qventus’ AI Operational Assistants analyse healthcare data in real-time, pinpointing inefficiencies, anticipating patient needs, and executing specific actions.
This launch is particularly timely, as frontline healthcare workers face significant pressure, with clinicians dedicating approximately half of their time to administrative responsibilities, resulting in burnout and incurring an estimated annual cost of $13bn, the company said.
AI Operational Assistants have been developed in collaboration with healthcare systems such as Ardent Health, HonorHealth, Allina Health, and Northwestern Medicine.
They are designed to eradicate the manual and repetitive aspects of data collection and other tasks.

According to Qventus, it is integrating these assistants into its current Perioperative and Inpatient Solutions.
The company has already pinpointed new areas where this technology can substantially benefit care teams and boost patient coordination.
In terms of Perioperative care, AI Operational Assistants can help in optimising surgical and procedural processes by automating a wide range of aspects related to pre- as well as post-surgical coordination.
Through these efforts, the technology further aims to minimise surgery cancellations, alleviate the manual workload for care teams, and improve productivity.
Qventus chief medical officer David Atashroo said: “Qventus’ advanced AI Operational Assistants tackle specific hurdles in surgical coordination, including those that require real-time decision-making.
“Our digital assistants go beyond simply identifying what needs to be done; they orchestrate the necessary next steps, ensure they’re completed efficiently, and provide comprehensive audit trails for ongoing improvement.
“This ensures sustainable progress for our health system partners and, ultimately, better outcomes for patients.”
The company’s suite of solutions is designed to optimise patient flows and establish care practices for Perioperative and Inpatient care teams.
Recently, Qventus has launched its next-generation Inpatient Solution, which automates discharge planning to increase bed capacity and streamline care coordination.
