Healthcare services provider Ramsay Health Care has secured a 15-year contract extension from the Government of Western Australia to operate Joondalup Health Campus.
Australia’s Department of Health has agreed the contract extension with an option for further five years.
Ramsay Health Care and Department of Health have collaborated since 2005 for the development and operations of the facility which has more than doubled in size.
The organisation has planned for a major $256.7m Joondalup Health Campus expansion which is already underway.
Last month, construction company Multiplex secured an early contractor involvement (ECI) tender for the work on the expansion project.
Ramsay Health Care Australia CEO Carmel Monaghan said “This agreement on key terms for continued operations at Joondalup Health Campus for 15 years, with an option to extend for another five, delivers confidence and continuity of care to people in Perth’s northern suburbs.

Last year, Joondalup Health Campus had provided care for nearly 42 Covid-19 positive patients and has been recognised for its effective infection control measures and reporting no transmission of the virus.
Last month, Ramsay Health Care has announced the opening of a dedicated Maternity Care Centre opposite to Frances Perry House in Parkville, Victoria.
The Frances Perry House Maternity Care Centre aims to extend its support to women during their pregnancy, birth as well as postnatal journeys.
