Queensland, Australia-based Redlands Satellite Hospital, constructed by Hutchinson Builders, is all set to open in August.

The $43.8m facility includes a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic, and services such as renal dialysis, chemotherapy treatment, and can deliver 280 outpatient appointments each week.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk along with Health Minister Shannon Fentiman and local MPs, recently toured the completed hospital.

Palaszczuk said: “Better facilities mean better care delivered where it’s needed.

“It’s part of our plan to make sure Queenslanders get the health services they need closer to home and our frontline health workers have the tools they need to save lives.

“Our government will always prioritise the health of Queenslanders.”

The Redlands Satellite Hospital is expected to alleviate pressure on emergency departments and major hospitals in the region, catering to the growing healthcare needs of the community.

The hospital will work in conjunction with the ongoing expansions at Redlands Hospital, including a modular ward expansion and major hospital expansion.

Additionally, the Redlands community will benefit from a $150m funding boost for a new mental health facility at Redland Hospital, increasing bed capacity and providing improved mental health services.

These investments are part of the Palaszczuk Government’s significant healthcare investment plan, aiming to deliver more hospitals, beds, services, and frontline health workers.
