Canada-based health tech firm Reliq Health Technologies has reached a new contract with a respiratory therapy clinic in Texas, US.

Under the contract, 10,000 new patients will sign up to Reliq’s iUGO Care platform by the middle of next year, with the onboarding process commencing this month.

The platform offers remote monitoring for patients with respiratory issues, such as asthma and COPD, using connected spirometers, inhalers, and nebulisers.

This remote monitoring aids healthcare providers in identifying early changes in lung function, allowing for timely treatment at home and preventing complications.

The contract is expected to expand Reliq’s reach under the US’s Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Remote Therapeutic Monitoring programme.

Reliq recently also entered contracts with 20 rural health clinics (RHCs) across California, Nevada, Puerto Rico, Texas, and the US Virgin Islands.
