Riskonnect has introduced new AI capabilities in its Healthcare Risk & Patient Safety solution to enable organisations to make informed decisions.

With these features, healthcare organisations will also be able to expedite critical operations and ensure the delivery of safe patient care.

Riskonnect’s latest release includes two significant AI-powered features.

The first is Predictive Category Classification, which aims to enhance data quality, alleviate nurses’ decision fatigue, and expedite investigation times by automating the event categorisation process.

The second feature, Adverse Event Severity Prediction, assists in triaging and prioritising incident investigations by accurately predicting the severity of events upon submission.

Riskonnect chief product officer Kathryn Carlson said: “We’re constantly looking for new ways to supercharge our customers’ risk management capabilities with AI.

“Our latest release specifically benefits healthcare users by giving an AI boost that helps improve patient safety through triaging and accelerating the investigation of events.”

These AI enhancements are part of Riskonnect’s sustained investment in Intelligent Risk features, which utilise AI and analytics to help organisations automate routine tasks, enhance accuracy, and support human expertise in making optimal risk decisions.

Riskonnect’s innovation lab team is at the forefront of researching AI applications and emerging technologies for risk management, ensuring the introduction of new features across its integrated risk management platform.

Last year, the company launched Intelligent Business Continuity & Resilience, which employs AI to assist in drafting plans by suggesting relevant content.

This tool enables professionals in business continuity and disaster recovery to work quickly through automation and achieve more comprehensive planning.
