US-based hospital network Select Medical has agreed to acquire Valir Rehabilitation Hospital in Oklahoma from Valir Health.
The financial terms and other details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Valir Rehabilitation Hospital is a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility that offers a wide range of personalised services such as neurological, multi-trauma and orthopaedic rehabilitation, as well as programmes for stroke, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury recovery.
Select Medical currently operates Select Specialty Hospital and 29 Select Physical Therapy outpatient centres across Oklahoma, two of which are located in Oklahoma City.
Valir Rehabilitation Hospital’s parent company, Valir Health, provides a wide range of healthcare services, including outpatient physical therapy, inpatient rehabilitation and hospice care.

Select Medical operates rehabilitation hospitals, occupational health centres, critical illness recovery hospitals and outpatient rehabilitation clinics across 46 US states and the District of Columbia.
As of 30 June 2024, the company managed 107 critical illness recovery hospitals, 1,925 outpatient rehabilitation clinics, 547 occupational health centres and nearly 33 rehabilitation hospitals across its network.
