By GlobalDataIn addition to primary care, the Bridgewater hub will provide seven specialty services including endocrinology, gastroenterology, orthopaedics and sports medicine, pain management, podiatry, and rheumatology.
The launch of these multispecialty hubs are part of Summit Health’s strategy to enhance comprehensive care provided throughout Bergen and Somerset counties of the US state.
Summit Health noted that the new facilities in Fair Lawn and Bridgewater will house over 60 primary care and specialty physicians across more than 20 areas of medicine.
Plans are underway to open imaging centres at each of these sites with appointments to be made available seven days a week.
Summit Health and Starling Physicians president Chris Sclafani said: “We’re excited to expand on the highly regarded and high-quality primary and specialty care the Summit Health teams offer in these areas of New Jersey. With these two new multispecialty hubs, we can offer even more extensive services to the community members we already serve in Bergen and Somerset counties and welcome new patients who will now be able to come to us for the care they need.
“Our care team meets patients wherever they are in their healthcare journey and helps them connect the dots between all their primary, specialty and urgent care needs. These new facilities will allow us to continue to care for and support our patients through a lifetime of connected care.”
In June 2021, Summit Health launched My Summit Health mobile app designed to improve the digital experience for patients and enable them to easily connect with Summit Health and CityMD providers and manage their healthcare needs.
