Sunay Healthcare Supply has signed an agreement with Denmark-based UVD Robots for the supply of self-driving disinfection robots to China to help fight coronavirus Covid-19.
The first robots will be shipped this week and many more in the following weeks via air.
Employing ultraviolet light, the Danish robot can disinfect and kill viruses and bacteria autonomously.
This effectively curtails the spread of coronavirus without exposing hospital staff to the potential risk of infection.

By GlobalDataThrough Sunay Healthcare Supply’s partners in China, the robots will be deployed in hospitals of all provinces in China.
Sunay Healthcare Supply CEO Su Yan said: “With this agreement, more than 2,000 hospitals will now have the opportunity to ensure effective disinfection, protecting both their patients and staff.”
Sunay Healthcare is a medical equipment supplier in China.
The robots have been sold in over 40 countries. The self-driving disinfection robots are being used by hospitals in other parts of Asia in addition to Europe and the US.
Due to the concentrated UV-C light emitted by the robots as they drive, it removes all airborne viruses and bacteria on the surfaces of a room.
UVD Robots CEO Per Juul Nielsen said that the company is pleased to be helping fight the spread of the coronavirus Covid-19 in China through its solution.
“In a severe crisis like this where the world health is threatened, our innovative technology really proves its worth,” he added.
