VIVA Pediatric Healthcare has announced the acquisition of two Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Centres (PPECCs) in Longview and Lubbock, Texas, US, marking the expansion of its services.
Lauve’s Pediatric Longview and Lauve’s Pediatric Lubbock centres will maintain the current clinical teams and operating hours.
The acquisition of these centres reinforces VIVA Pediatrics Healthcare’s focus on delivering care for medically fragile children.
PPECCs are designed to assist children with complex medical conditions, aiding patients transitioning from hospital to home and providing continued social and developmental support.
Patients at these centres will receive nursing care and therapies in a child-friendly environment during daytime hours to enable flexibility for parents.
VIVA Pediatrics Healthcare owner and founder Erica Colmenero said: “Our goal has always been to ensure that children with complex medical needs receive the highest level of care in a nurturing environment.
“With this acquisition, we are expanding access to specialised care while ensuring continuity for families who already depend on these centres.”
VIVA Pediatrics Healthcare is extending its reach across Texas with these new locations, offering additional healthcare options to families.
Alongside the Longview and Lubbock PPECC facilities, VIVA Pediatrics Healthcare operates offices in Richardson, Fort Worth, and Austin, Texas, catering to children and their families in the regions.
The company is also constructing a new centre in The Colony, Texas, expected to open by the end of the year.
Nurses and therapists at VIVA Pediatric Healthcare understand the medical complexities of care and provide in-home care, therapy services and medical day programmes.
