Comprehensive telehealth services provider VSee Health has announced a collaboration with Ava Robotics to develop telepresence offerings tailored for the inpatient intensive care market.
This partnership aims to create a VSee-powered Ava Robot, designed to enable healthcare providers to deliver personalised care remotely to patients in intensive care units (ICUs).
The Ava Robot will operate autonomously within hospital ICUs, allowing physicians to maintain a physical presence and engage with patients, consult with onsite staff, and make critical treatment decisions in real-time.
This technology is set to extend the capabilities of telehealth solutions, making them accessible not only to large hospitals in metropolitan areas but also to regional and smaller hospitals.
Ava Robotics, with its roots in iRobot, is a technology company specialising in the development of intelligent robots for workplace applications.
Its robots are designed to work alongside humans, prioritising user experience, safety, and autonomous mobility.

By GlobalDataVSee Health’s platform is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution that allows clinicians and healthcare enterprises to customise telehealth workflows, without the need for programming.
This flexibility enables the rapid creation of mobile telehealth apps or the integration of telehealth systems into existing hospital frameworks.
The company has already integrated a module powered by iDoc Telehealth Solutions, focusing on patient disease state telemedicine and offering turnkey billing services.
This module includes a suite of telehealth technologies and a team of specialists, such as neurologists, neurointensivists, and tele-radiologists, who provide round-the-clock care for patients with acute neurological conditions in various ICUs.
VSee Health co-CEO and chairman Imo Aisiku said: “Our goal under this new agreement with Ava Robotics is to make the best critical care in the world available to every ICU in the country. We have the best-trained physicians in the world, and by integrating with Ava’s robotics we will be able to extend their reach and expertise to patients throughout the United States.
“Not only will patients receive the best expertise available and better care, regardless of location, but hospitals will be able to deliver a new, heightened level of care, reducing transfers and costs associated with critical care and stroke.”
