US-based non-profit healthcare network AdventHealth has opened the AdventHealth Northdale ER, expanding its emergency services in Tampa, Florida.
This offsite emergency department aims to provide care access to patients in Hillsborough County.
The $23m facility is part of AdventHealth's commitment to whole-person care.
The AdventHealth Northdale ER spans 13,379ft² and includes 12 private examination rooms, a resuscitation room, two triage rooms, and specialised facilities for bariatric patients.
Equipped with advanced imaging technology and a full-service lab, the facility is designed to meet the growing healthcare needs.
The facility also features an EMS lounge and specialised support spaces to enhance efficiency and reduce response times.
AdventHealth Tampa president and CEO Bruce Bergherm said: “North Dale Mabry is an ideal location for our new AdventHealth Northdale ER, allowing us to expand access to high-quality, compassionate care for this growing community.
“With this new ER close by, we’re reducing travel times and enhancing access to AdventHealth’s whole-person approach to emergency care, so families have faster, more convenient support when they need it most.”
The Northdale ER is now a part of AdventHealth West Florida Division's network, which includes 14 hospitals and eight additional offsite emergency departments.
AdventHealth has invested more than $790m in healthcare facilities within Hillsborough County, since 2019.
Last month, AdventHealth inaugurated a new hospital in Riverview, Florida, aimed at serving the South Hillsborough County community.
The 282,000ft² facility includes 82 beds, with plans to expand to 202 beds.
Earlier this year, AdventHealth commenced construction on a ten-storey hospital in Florida.
The hospital is set to provide a broad spectrum of medical services to Central Florida, the Lake Nona community, and international visitors.
