Advanced Heart Group (AHG), a group of cardiology practices in the US, has selected NextGen Healthcare to provide its technological solutions for improving patient experience and increasing overall operational efficiency.
As part of this partnership, NextGen will supply its Enterprise electronic health record (EHR) and Enterprise practice management (PM) solutions.
Furthermore, the company will introduce its PXP Portal to enhance the patient experience and NextGen Ambient Assist to alleviate the documentation workload for healthcare providers.
AHG will leverage the NextGen PXP Portal platform to empower its patients by providing a secure means to review visit summaries, access lab results, and request medication refills from the comfort of their homes.
It will further help in enhancing patients’ understanding and management of their healthcare journey.
NextGen Ambient Assist, which is expected to benefit both providers and patients, is an AI-powered ambient listening technology.
It will reduce providers’ daily documentation time by up to two hours, allowing them to dedicate more attention to patients during their exams.

The investments in the latest technologies follow AHG's collaboration with Heart & Vascular Partners (HVP), a management services organisation based in Illinois, in 2023.
HVP focuses on supporting independent cardiology and vascular practices across the US, aiding healthcare organisations in scaling their operations while prioritising clinical autonomy.
