A super speciality hospital has opened at Gurugram, Haryana, India, to provide advanced healthcare services in the region.

The facility, called Akropolis Super Speciality Hospital, has been set up by Dr Anu Nagpal and Dr Prateek Girotra, according to a press release posted by PNN on ANI news agency.

Equipped with advanced medical technology and a team of skilled healthcare professionals, the facility claims to offer a wide range of medical services, including 24/7 emergency care.

With a patient-centric approach, Akropolis Super Speciality Hospital aims to set new standards in healthcare services.

Akropolis Super Speciality Hospital co-founder Dr Anu Nagpal said: “We are committed to bringing about a positive change in the healthcare industry.

“With Akropolis, we aim to set new benchmarks in patient care and medical excellence.

“We believe that healthcare should be delivered with genuine compassion.”

Meanwhile, the Haryana government is extending the Ayushman Bharat scheme to include more than 400 government health facilities, such as primary healthcare centres and delivery huts, reported Times of India.

This expansion aims to improve healthcare access to the poor in the region.

Previously, only sub-divisional hospitals and civil hospitals were covered by the country-level programme.

Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, people belonging to the financially weaker section can avail of healthcare treatment in addition to three and 15 days of pre- and post-hospitalisation expenses.

Covering around 1,400 various treatment procedures and OT expenses, the national health protection scheme offers a benefit cover of Rs500,000 ($6,020.17; £4,906.32) per family annually. A person with an annual income of Rs180,000 ($2,167.24; £1,770.98) is covered under the scheme.
