Almoosa Health Group has inaugurated Rafa Mental Health Centre, marking its first facility in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
The new centre, located within Almoosa Rehabilitation Hospital, aims to significantly improve the standard of mental health care in the region by filling crucial service gaps for residents of the Eastern Province and neighbouring areas, as per a media release by Zawya.
Rafa Mental Health Centre is set to offer a broad spectrum of psychological rehabilitation programmes, designed to assist individuals with mental health conditions in achieving psychological balance and independence.
The facility feature a multidisciplinary team of experts, including psychiatrists, occupational therapists, psychologists, dietitians and social workers.
This team collaborates to ensure the psychiatric evaluations, treatments, and holistic care for patients ranging from children to the elderly.
Outpatient services at Rafa Mental Health Centre are extensive, featuring psychological assessments and customised psychotherapy tailored to each patient's specific needs.
The centre also provides individual and family psychotherapy, medication management, as well as holistic therapies such as art therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and recreation therapy.
For inpatients, it offers a supportive environment with a total of 24 private rooms designed to maximise natural light, fostering a calm and healing atmosphere.
The inpatient services include the latest in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
The range of specialised services and treatment programmes at Rafa Mental Health Centre encompasses anxiety, adult psychiatric, obsessive-compulsive, psychotic, and childhood psychiatric disorders, among others.
Additionally, the centre offers specialised care for elderly patients with dementia and behavioural changes, along with geriatric therapy and rehabilitation services.
The launch of Rafa Mental Health Centre reinforces Almoosa Health's commitment to enhancing healthcare services in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
