Altera Digital Health has signed an agreement to integrate cloud-based bill payment technology provider Paymentus’ electronic bill presentment and payments (EBPP) platform, with its suite of healthcare IT solutions.
This strategic move aims to improve integrated care delivery and practice optimisation across various healthcare settings, including physician practices, hospitals, and global health networks.
The integration of Paymentus’ EBPP with Altera’s digital health solutions is expected to streamline key aspects of revenue cycle management, particularly billing and payment optimisation.
Providers using the solutions of Altera and Paymentus together will now be able to present real-time patient billing information directly through electronic health records.
In addition, the partnership will facilitate the dispatch of statements, payment reminders, and updates through secure digital communications, such as email and text, enhancing the efficiency of revenue cycle management.
Altera Digital Health group leader Jay Adams said: “Healthcare providers worldwide use Altera’s solutions to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care to their communities.
“Providers want to offer the simple and flexible payment experience that patients have come to expect in every area of their busy lives as a component of care. We are excited to work with Paymentus to make this a reality for our clients and the people they serve.”
Paymentus solutions allow patients to customise how they receive billing information, thereby reducing payment-related confusion.
In addition, secure billing notifications with click-to-pay options are designed to prompt timely payments.
The Paymentus Instant Payment Network (IPN) offers a wide range of payment methods, including ACH, secure IVR, text, email, chat, and digital wallets such as PayPal/Venmo, ApplePay, and GooglePay.
Paymentus founder and CEO Dushyant Sharma said: “Working with Altera, we will offer the modern, convenient Paymentus customer billing experience to healthcare providers and patients as a component of their healthcare IT platforms, driving higher patient satisfaction and more efficient, secure back-office operations.”
In October last year, Altera Digital Health and Keena Healthcare Technology expanded their partnership to offer advanced healthcare solutions and services.
