Amstelland Hospital in the Netherlands has chosen Sectra's enterprise imaging solution as a subscription model (Sectra One) to enhance efficiency.

Initially, the hospital will deploy radiology and breast imaging software modules.

According to the vendor, its imaging tool will help radiologists share images and data between different departments as well as within their team with ease.

This is said to translate into improved collaboration and patient care.

The vendor further noted that its imaging solution is modular and scalable.

Sectra also claims that the technology reduces operational expenses by offering a unified strategy for different requirements related to imaging.

Amstelland Hospital radiologist and chief medical information officer Dr Jasper Sluimer said: “It will support us in shaping the digital future of our hospital as it allows us to easily expand to other medical specialities and departments.

“The solution will also streamline our radiologists’ workflow, provide them with user-friendly tools and enable them to collaborate more effectively to ultimately deliver better patient care. The proven high quality and good service were other important aspects when we chose Sectra.

“Our mission is to provide high-quality medical treatments and customer care, provided by motivated staff."

With a bed capacity of more than 200, Amstelland Hospital provides radiology, cardiology, emergency care, rehabilitation, and surgery services.

The facility is staffed by nearly 1,100 healthcare professionals.
